magazines
While working at EIU, I was involved with the production of the Alumni Association's magazine for more than 15 years. Over the course of that time, it had gone through a number of name changes, but it wasn’t until a complete overhaul - including title and style that it would become highly sought after. My role in that overhaul was all-inclusive, from branding to design to determining what content our alumni wanted in their magazine. Te final result was “Forever EIU”, a refined publication that was easy to read, cleanly designed and one that would offer flexibility in tight schedules for ease of production.
And, when at Texas Tech Health El Paso, the team was charged with a similar challenge. “Alumni & Friends, was light on storytelling. And, while stories were written in-house, the design was handled by an external vendor. During the health sciences center’s 10th anniversary, I knew there would not be a better time for an overhaul, and the team capitalized on the opportunity to rename the magazine to align with an evergreen branding campaign launched the same year.
